This year is the 330th Anniversary of the Pitchfork/Monmouth Rebellion of 1685, so to commemorate this historic event the village is holding a Summer Fete.
This will take the form of a traditional country fayre with craft stalls and bouncy castles, ice cream and BBQ as well as the beer tent and cream teas. A bottle tombola and Raffle will be held with amazing prizes kindly donated by local businesses which includes cash prizes, B&B at the George and an iPad mini plus much much more.
To make it more authentic we have asked the stall holders to come in costume and if you wish to dress up then a prize will be awarded to the best dressed. There will be a contingency of costumed horsemen putting on a display during the afternoon as well as a speaker who will explain the significance of this event.
Alongside that there will be a talk at the end of the fete followed by a battlefield walk through the village. Join us on 27th June on the Churchmead, Norton St Philip for the Summer Fete.1 p.m. until 5 p.m
